Many of you know Saturn who is the great organizer of our exotic drives and meets. His wife May organized a final Cars & Coffee at Don Mills for all of us to show our appreciation with a surprise meet and a few presents! It was a fantastic turnout and the weather was on our side as well. After the meet we all headed up to a fantastic food festival up in Woodbridge. “Only Pasta” and it’s plaza neighbors supplied several servings of free Pasta and deserts! It was a great way to enjoy one of the last warm days of the season, looking forward to next year. Enjoy the photos:

Usually when my alarm goes off at 5:30am I curse the world and want to go back to sleep, but yesterday I jumped out of bed for good reason. After getting into the passenger seat of a beautiful yellow Ferrari 458 Spider we made our way to the start of the “Palms to Pines” highway I have raved so much about. With the flick of a carbon fiber paddle we carved our way up the mountain with zero traffic (and zero CHP officers). I have had some great experiences in my career, but this was one of my favourites. The smell of the leather, the crisp mountain air, the note of the exhaust near redline, everything came together to create an amazing experience and a great way to kick off my last day in California!

Track days have always been one of my favourite things to shoot. Seeing these cars driven like they are supposed to is great, and the mountain backdrop made it even better! Yesterday several Ferrari’s showed up to test their limits at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway an hour outside of La Quinta.

Yesterday’s event at the Ferrari Club of America national meet was the road rally. I am lucky enough to have a passenger seat in a 430 Scuderia for the week so with our direction packet in hand we headed out into another California day full of sun! The route took us on the same “Palms to Pines” highway we drive a few days ago, but this time in reverse.

Ferrari models new and old gathered on the 18th hole at the Hyatt yesterday for the FCA Concours. This spectacular setting was only outdone by the quality of cars gracing the lawn, some very special machines! The weather held off all day and really made for a fantastic event. After the Concours the Ontario group met at a fantastic Italian restaurant for dinner, a great way to end off the day! Enjoy the photos:

I have to say, waking up and walking onto the patio to see a golf course and mountains was a great way to start my morning! Quick back story, I am in California to shoot the 50th Anniversary Ferrari Club event and staying with my friend Bob who owns a beautiful Ferrari 430 Scuderia and also has a house 10 minutes from the main hotel. The main festivities don’t get started until tomorrow, so we decided to take a drive on the legendary “Palms to Pines” highway near Palm Springs.

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph a video shoot for the pilot of a new car show hosted by Robert Herjavec. This new show is aiming to be the “Canadian Top Gear” with interesting features on several unique cars. Robert brought out his beautiful 599 GTO and 458 Spider for this shoot. I’m looking forward to seeing what the final cut looks like! Enjoy the photos:

Today marked the last Cars & Coffee event of the 2012 season. Over 40 cars and owners gathered at The Shops at Don Mills to share their passion for their automobiles. Afterwards we took a quick cruise down to Yorkville, it was an incredible sight to see 4 lanes packed full of exotics from the passenger seat of an R8 (Thanks again Angelo)!
