Usually when my alarm goes off at 5:30am I curse the world and want to go back to sleep, but yesterday I jumped out of bed for good reason. After getting into the passenger seat of a beautiful yellow Ferrari 458 Spider we made our way to the start of the “Palms to Pines” highway I have raved so much about. With the flick of a carbon fiber paddle we carved our way up the mountain with zero traffic (and zero CHP officers). I have had some great experiences in my career, but this was one of my favourites. The smell of the leather, the crisp mountain air, the note of the exhaust near redline, everything came together to create an amazing experience and a great way to kick off my last day in California! After our mountain run the Canadian crew packed up and headed off for their road trip up the coast of California. I wasn’t able to go with them so I headed off to explore what Palm Springs had to offer. I headed over to the Palm Springs Ariel Tramway and took a ride up to the top of the mountain, what a incredible view! My 2 weeks in Italy paid off during my hike to the different viewpoints. After my hike I took the Camaro for a drive down the same roads to experience the perspective from behind the wheel, ton of fun! After a fantastic dinner with some close friends I drove back to the house, windows down, reflecting on my time here. What an incredible week! A combination of not only incredible cars, but truly fantastic company with all of the group from Ontario. I am so grateful to have these kind of opportunities in my life! My flight today got cancelled so I was forced to spend another day in the sun (oh no) before my flight back to Toronto tomorrow morning. It was great to be able to share my trip with everyone, looking forward to the next one! Enjoy the last photos:
