Race The Runway

August 25th marked the inaugural “Race The Runway” event at Russ Beach Airport in Smith’s Falls. I made the journey down with the East End Corvette group riding shotgun in a gorgeous Z06 Carbon Edition (thanks again Steve!). Some incredible cars showed up including a Porsche Carrera GT, several high horsepower GTR’s, Corvettes, Viper’s, and even a 430hp Dodge Neon. The fastest 1/4 mile time of the day went to a surprising recipient, a Tesla Roadster! Highest top speed in the half mile was a blistering fast 258km/h set by a heavily tuned Porsche Turbo. Overall it was a very well run event for the first year and I can only see things growing from here! Many thanks again to the Corvette crew who made the day (and pub night before) such a great time. Can’t wait until next year!
