It seemed like a quilt of metal, tacked together by a set of mysterious hands in the 1960’s. This was the “Speedster” version of the two 1961 Porsche 356B’s being restored behind the doors at Engineered Automotive, it’s close “Cabrio” brother sitting just across the room. These two cars had been sitting and rotting for many years, but the team at EA was recently commissioned to bring these iconic Porsche’s back to life. After being stripped down and taking a 24 hour acid bath, the final result is what you see here. This shoot was an absolute pleasure! It was great to be able to capture the character of these 356’s one rivet and weld at a time. We will be doing a series of photos following the progress of these cars so stay tuned for updates!
